Now in its fifth year, the annual Fashion Strikes show is a chance to see your sporting heroes strut their stuff in aid of the Foundation of Light.

The players will be joined at the Stadium of Light on November 20 by youngsters who have taken part in Foundation of Light’s community programmes, to raise vital funds for the club’s charity.

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the James Bond franchise, the event has been titled Fashion Strikes: Catwalk Royale – with a 007 theme running through the evening.

Clothes from some of the world’s top fashion houses, provided by event partner House of Fraser and modelled by members of the Sunderland AFC squad, will be worn in the catwalk show.

Defender Phil Bardsley said: “Fashion Strikes is a fantastic event and something that the players are always happy to get involved in. It gets bigger and better every year and I’m sure this year’s will be no exception.”

Foundation of Light events co-ordinator Katrina Quinn said: “This year’s Fashion Strikes is shaping up to be our biggest yet. Last year’s event raised more than £25,000 to support our education, community, health and sport programmes and we are aiming to surpass that.

“We are very grateful to House of Fraser, 3663 and Reds Hair and Beauty for supporting this year’s event and can guarantee that our guests will once again be treated to a top-quality night of Bond themed glitz and glamour.”

Guests will enjoy evening dining, courtesy of 3663, a drinks reception, top musical acts, including X Factor finalist Carolynne Poole, and a festive mini market where they can stock up on early Christmas presents.

Models’ hair will be styled by Reds Hair and Beauty.

The evening will also feature James Bond-themed fund-raising activities and a live auction with unique prizes such as Christmas dinner prepared at home by a professional chef and more.

A limited number of tables, seating 10, are available at £1,000 with individual places starting at £110 per person.
