SHOPPERS are being thanked for their help raising cash for a cancer charity.
Customers at Bon Marche, in Sunderland, dug deep for the chance to sup cuppas as part of the nationwide Macmillan Coffee Morning.
North East stores in the UK-wide fashion chain raised nearly £2,000 and as a total the company raised £27,000 for the Macmillan Cancer Support.
Sunderland shop manager Rita Richardson said: “It was a fab day all round.
“Our Sunderland customers were a fantastic support as usual.”
