A DEVELOPMENT boom is taking place in the city.
Work on the new £10million Software Centre in the heart of city has been given the go ahead and is set to create more than 100 jobs. Planners also said a new £15m Primark extension to the Bridges is now just one step away.
City bosses welcomed the proposals and said the plans showed the city was still driving forward despite trying economic times.
Building work on the centrepiece of the Software City proposal is scheduelled to start this year and is expected to be completed in 2012.
If the Primark extension clears its final planning hurdle building work is set to start later this year and it is thought it will bring 150 construction jobs to the city.
