An agency which helps to promote other companies is in the spotlight itself.

Cowell & George, based at Ashbrooke, Sunderland, has been nominated for
the creative industries
category in the Sunderland Echo Portfolio Business Awards.

Our business is positively promoting our clients and we hope to push them and their brand to compete regionally, nationally and internationally. It is quite nice to be recognised from behind the scenes

Sandy Cowell, business director of Cowell & George

The agency was only formed four years ago by directors Sandy Cowell and Josey George. Sandy, the business director, said: “We are over the moon to be nominated.

“Our business is positively promoting our clients and we hope to push them and their brand to compete regionally, nationally and internationally.

“It is quite nice to be recognised from behind the scenes.”

Josey, the creative director of the firm which is primarily an advertising agency, has international experience of working with top-level clients, including in the Middle East.

He first met Sandy, who used to work in the NHS, when he went into event management.

The nomination for Cowell & George said: “They have a great habit of seeing things a bit differently.

“The value of working with them has been significant and their ability to help create exciting and innovative ideas and projects based on an engaging style and approach has proven successful on a consistent basis.

“They are a pleasure to work with and their 360 degree perspective always ensures that the end product exceeds expectation.”

We’re off to a great start with many nominations but we want more.
