WEARSIDE hairdressers are stripping off for a good cause.

Staff at Reds are digging out their old SAFC shirts to support the Strip off for Smiles campaign.

The Echo has teamed up with Olivers Dental Studio in East Herrington and SAFC to collect as many strips as possible to gift to Moroccan children.

Michael Oliver, who owns Olivers Dental Studio, will travel to a fishing village in the El Jebah region to carry out emergency dental work on the youngsters, who normally have no access to medical care.

As well as helping the villagers with problems like abscesses, Michael will hand out shirts to bring some cheer.

SAFC have agreed to donate a set of their newest strip to the cause as well.

Shirts and strips can be handed in at Echo House reception, Pennywell.
