SHOPPERS indulged in a little friendly pecking for International Kissing Day.
Cosmetics shop Lush, in The Bridges, took part in an event which aimed to collect “kiss imprints” from lipstick, though it was not part of the chain’s official push to break the Guinness World Record for the most imprints collected. Bridges store manager Joanne Middleton said the drive aimed to promote animal friendly lipstick – as well as spreading a little love.
“Although we aren’t officially taking part in the world record attempt, it’s something nice to take part in,” she said.
“We have had around 200 people in, and lots of them have tried on the lipsticks and kissed our International Kissing Day T-Shirt.
“People have been a bit cheeky, and the single ones said they’re going to use the day as an excuse to kiss people.”
