CONTROVERSIAL reality TV regular Charlotte Crosby will spend time living in far-flung corners of the globe as part of her new show.
The former St Anthony’s School pupil has travelled from her home in Biddick Woods to Tokyo for the first segment of the show, which will see her living with Geishas in a bid to learn about other communities in the world.
It’s a far cry from her TV appearances in Geordie Shore, where she’s seen out partying with the show’s other characters on the streets of Newcastle.
The four-part series – which doesn’t have a name yet – also sees her living with Inuits and will be screened on the TLC channel this spring.
The 23-year-old said: “I am bursting with excitement about my new show with TLC.
“I literally want to run around shouting about it from the rooftops. When they told me about going to my first destination Japan, I screamed ‘OMG, I cant believe I’m going to China.’ The crew just put their head in their hands.”
As part of the show the former Ttonic barmaid will have to abide by the strict rules of the communities she lives with.
Susanna Dinnage, general manager for Discovery Networks UK & Ireland, said: “Charlotte Crosby is one-to-watch: she’s adventurous and relatable, and will make a great addition to the TLC family.”
Last year, Charlotte appeared on Celebrity Big Brother. Although her antics divide opinion, she went on to win the show.
