LUCKY Black Cats fans can rub shoulders with their football heroes at Sunderland’s official team photocall next week.
Manager Martin O’Neill and his players will gather at the Stadium of Light for the side’s Biggest Ever Team Photo event, alongside all supporters who have bought the current adidas home shirt.
To get in on the act, all fans need to do is turn up at the ground on Thursday, wearing the new top.
Club captain Lee Cattermole said he was looking forward to being involved in the novelty idea.
The former Middlesbrough and Wigan Athletic midfielder said: “It will be quality to take part in the Biggest Ever Team Photo.
“The lads are looking forward to it and I can’t wait to see all the supporters turning up in their shirts.
“It’s something really special for the fans and players to be part of.”
Supporters are being encouraged by club officials to arrive as early as possible on the day.
Turnstiles in the East Stand will open from 11am.
However, the photograph itself is scheduled to be taken at approximately 1.30pm.
Concourse catering kiosks will be open, along with facilities in the new Family Zone at the Stadium of Light, as well as activities from the Foundation of Light.
Those attending the event will receive a special ticket on entry which will act as a receipt to collect their own copy of the photo.
The picture will be available about two weeks after the event.
Supporters are advised that in the interests of safety, children under 12 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
Anyone who buys the current SAFC home shirt between now and Thursday, can still take part.
Stadium of Light matchday rules and regulations apply during the event.
