WEARSIDERS basked on the beach as they made the most of the early spring sun.
The coast was filled with revellers yesterday as the sun stayed out after the warm weekend weather.
With temperatures set to continue to rise this week, there is still plenty of time for Wearsiders to soak up the sun.
Warm weather is to stay across the country, with temperatures expected to hit a high of 23C (75F) tomorrow.
Yesterday saw record temperatures, with the mercury rising to 22.9C in Aboyne, Aberdeenshire – the warmest March day on record in Scotland.
But temperatures are to drop by the weekend, with a high of 12C (54F).
