High-flying Fiona Simpson is taking her business with an art theme Stateside as it continues to flourish.

The Sunderland entrepreneur set up ARTventurers four years ago as an artistic way for children to have fun at parties.

ARTventurers launched overseas with a franchise branch opening in Texas, USA with plans to roll out into other parts of the state and then beyond if it goes well.

But now comes another exciting development. Fiona said: “ARTventurers launched overseas with a franchise branch opening in Texas, USA with plans to roll out into other parts of the state and then beyond if it goes well.”

ARTventurers is also hoping to add an award, after receiving a string of nominations in the Sunderland Echo Portfolio Business Awards 2015.

One said: “Lovely people, fab activities, popular classes” while another added: “ARTventurers is an amazing local business that brings so much happiness and enjoyment to local families.”

ARTventurers is an alternative form of party where children can get as messy as they like while creating pieces of art.

Then, while the youngsters have their party food, the ARTventurers team clears up the mess. The business has expanded into South Tyneside, Hartlepool, Newcastle, Liverpool and Newark.

“In 2013 I started to expand the business through licensing and in the past year I have developed the business further by launching a franchise package which gives others the opportunity to build their own ARTventurers business flexibly around the needs of their family,” said Fiona.

This year’s awards will be presented in a ceremony at the Stadium of Light on Thursday, October 15.
