KIND-HEARTED workers at the firm that keeps Sunderland’s streets lit up at night have handed over a £1,200 donation to Grace House Children’s Hospice.
The cash brings the total donations the hospice has received from Aurora Street Lighting to £11,400.
Of the money, £7,200 has come because the company, which is part of Balfour Beatty Living Places, has been rewarded for staying accident-free for a year.
The rest of the cash was donated by staff at the company themselves.
The firm’s contract manager Ronnie Barnett, said: “Grace House Children’s Hospice is the company’s chosen charity.
“The staff are proud of their links with this wonderful cause.”
Grace House senior fundraiser Karen Maclennan said: “We are delighted that the staff of Aurora Sunderland Street Lighting have had another accident-free 12 months.
“We would like to thank them all for their continued support.”
