FRIENDS and family will gather to say a final farewell to tragic teenager Jordan Cooper, pictured.
Jordan, 14, was stabbed at the Newriggs home in Fatfield where he lived with his grandmother on Tuesday, March 1.
Tributes to the Year Nine Biddick Comprehensive pupil were left in the wake of his death, with more than 1,000 friends and classmates joining a special tribute page on Facebook.
Touching tributes, including flowers, chocolates and a football shirt, were also laid outside his home as those close to him struggled to come to terms with the loss of the much-loved teen.
Friends and family are now preparing to bid a fond farewell to him at his funeral on Thursday, at Washington Parish Church in Washington Village.
It will be followed by an interment at Washington Cemetery.
* Jordan’s uncle Alan Cooper, 31, of Newriggs, Washington, has appeared at Newcastle Crown Court charged with his murder.
