A SOUTH Shields-based Newcastle United fan has gone viral after posting a video parodying a TV advertisement featuring club legend Alan Shearer.

Kris Wallace, who runs popular fan site Gallowgate Shots, posted the short clip on Saturday.

In a mockery of a Barclays advert involving Shearer, the former striker is seen approaching a house to deliver free tickets to a ‘lucky’ supporter.

However, Mr Wallace then appears, and shouts through the letterbox, ‘**** off Alan, I don’t want them!”

The video has been viewed worldwide over 400,000 times, and was even given a mention on BBC highlights show Match Of The Day 2 on Sunday night.

Shearer appeared on the show, and seemed amused by the video.

I had a light bulb moment while watching the advert and decided to make a desperate current situation at Newcastle United humorous.

Mr Wallace has been surprised by the reaction, and said: “I had no idea how popular it would become.

“It’s great publicity for the website and its writers, who are always willing to give up their spare time to write articles on Newcastle United.”
