At the annual meeting of Hylton WI last month, Christine Wilson was re-elected as president for the year 2016-2017. There are some changes on the committee but all officers stay the same for this coming year.
Ladies you are welcome to come along to the next meeting on Monday, May 9, at 7pm, in The South Hylton Tansy Centre. There will be entertainment by vocalist Samantha Holden with songs from the 1950 and 1960s. Hylton WI meets on the second Monday of each month and has a variety of speakers booked up for the coming year.
Go along to King George’s Playing Field any Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evening and also Thursday afternoons to meet up with members of South Hylton Bowling Club. Friday Gang is well under way again following the Easter break. This is for primary school children and they meet in the school room of South Hylton Independent Methodist Church from 5.30pm-6.30pm, entrance through the red door at the back of the church. Girl Guides are back in action again and meet at the same venue on Thursday evenings.
