Slumdog Millionaire producer joins North’s film agency

AN agency which champions filming in the region has two new board members.

Alison Clark-Jenkins, Arts Council England’s director for the north, and Slumdog Millionaire producer Ivana MacKinnon have joined Northern Film and Media (NFM).

They will join former chief executive of Gateshead Council Sir Les Elton, TV producer Tom Gutteridge and accountant Doug Johnson in steering NFM.

NFM has recently been instrumental in attracting a host of productions to the North East, such as ITV’s Vera, BBC’s The Paradise – on the Lambton Estate near Shiney Row – and the Terence Stamp and Vanessa Redgrave feature film Song for Marion.
