Congratulations to Joan and Robert Newton, who recently celebrated their golden wedding. They had a surprise visit from their son Andrew, who lives in Australia, and daughter Wendy arranged a surprise party at the Rosedene Hotel, where they held their wedding reception after being married in St Matthew’s Church, Silksworth, in 1966. They would like to thank all family, friends and neighbours for making this such a wonderful occasion.
