The next blood donor session in Silksworth Community Centre will take place on Sunday from 10.05am to 12.05pm and 1.35pm to 4pm. Appointments can be made or just walk in. For more information, ring 0300 123 23 23.

North Street Methodist Church, Silksworth, is holding its Christmas fair on Saturday, November 28, from 11am to 2pm. Have your photograph taken with Santa in his grotto. There will be a variety of stalls, refreshments, and light lunches will also be served.

Saint Benedict’s Hospice is so grateful for all the support it receives from so many people. This month is Make a Will Month. Local solicitors will be supporting the hospice by offering their Will writing service for free in return for a donation to St Benedict’s.

Saint Benedict’s invites you to celebrate, share and remember those who are no longer with us by sponsoring a light on its Christmas tree. It will send you a dedication Christmas card and you will be welcome to join in the annual Light up a Life Carol and Tree Lighting Service on Sunday, December 6. Silksworth IM Church is holding its Christmas market on Saturday from 10am to 2pm. There will be many attractions including Santa’s Grotto, more than 20 stalls and hot turkey sandwiches. The church holds many weekly activities and groups including: Monday: 10am New You Group; Tuesday: 3.30pm Stay ‘n’ Play at Church; Wednesday: 10am Banner Group, 1.30pm Mothers and Toddlers, 6pm Detonate (Youth Group for Junior School Children). Sunday Worship is 10.30am including fun club for children.

Silksworth British Legion is holding its AGM on Sunda, December 6, at 11am in the concert room.

Beckwith Mews Silksworth is holding a Christmas fair on Saturday from 10am to 2pm. There will be many stalls, Santa’s Grotto and refreshments.
