A MAN has appeared before a judge after he was charged with murder over the death of his parents.

Nic Seddon, whose real name is Stephen, was charged on Thursday with the murder and attempted murder of Patricia Seddon, 65, and her husband Bob, 68.

The couple were found dead at their home in Sale, Manchester, on Friday, July 6.

Both died as a result of a single gunshot wound.

The two attempted murder charges against their 45-year-old son, from Benevente Street, Seaham, relate to an incident on March 20, when the BMW being driven by the businessman crashed into a canal.

The judge at Manchester Crown Court adjourned the case until Friday, July 27, for a plea and direction hearing.
