SEAHAM Hall has offered to step in and save the wedding day dreams of couples caught out by the sudden closure of a North East venue.
The luxury spa hotel has offered to help couples whose wedding plans have been left in tatters after Longhirst Hall in Northumberland went into liquidation.
The surprise closure, announced earlier this week, has left staff out of jobs and those with bookings looking for an alternative venue.
“We will help in any way we can,” said Seaham Hall general manager Ross Grieve. “I would urge anyone whose wedding has been affected to get in touch. This is a dreadful situation for a bridal couple to find themselves in.
“We are already looking at ways in which we can reschedule bookings and divert operations in order to accommodate any short-notice inquiries.”
Seaham Hall – which was the venue for the great romantic poet Lord Byrons wedding – has a licence to hold weddings and civil partnerships.
It offers a range of bridal packages and can create bespoke celebrations for ceremonies and receptions.
