Tomorrow, the Seaham Branch of the Royal British Legion will meet at the Farn Scouring Centre, Parkside Road, for its monthly meeting. New members are welcome.

On Thursday there is to be a Winter Wellness Day at Shotton Colliery Community Centre from 10.30am to 2pm.

St John the Evangelist is to hold a gift auction with refreshments in the church hall on Thursday.

On Saturday Seaham Harbour Methodist Church in Tempest Road is celebrating the completion of the refurbishment of the church kitchen and other work, with an Open Day starting with a coffee morning and bake sale at 10.30am, followed by a service of celebration and thanksgiving at 2pm. Everyone is welcome.

Holy Communion will be celebrated at Christ Church, Station Road, on Sunday at 10am and a service of evening prayer held at 6pm. Every Wednesday at 10am there is a half hour ‘said’ Holy Communion.

St Andrew’s Dalton-le-Dale is to have a pie and peas supper and raffle on Saturday, October 29, in the parish hall, Dalton Road. Tickets are £5. Raffle prizes gratefully accepted. Have a word with Doreen Proud or Ken Carter for details.
