Seaham Family History Group meets every Wednesday in Seaham Library, between 9.30am and 12.15pm.

Once a month the group meets on Monday afternoon between 4pm and 6.30pm. New members are welcome.

Although being a real treasure and worth her weight in gold, it was Mrs Doreen Proud, not Pound, who recently celebrated her 90th birthday with a cake at Christ Church Mothers’ Union meeting.

Sorry for the error Doreen.

To celebrate the 90th birthday of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth, St Andrew’s Church, Dalton-le-dale, is to host birthday celebrations and cream tea in the church on Saturday, June 11, between 2pm and 4pm.

Dalton-le-Dale History Society will exhibit a photographic display.

Holy Communion will be held at 10am at Christ Church, New Seaham on Sunday, the second Sunday after Trinity).

Holy Communion will be held at 6pm at St Andrew’s, Dalton-le-Dale and Evening Prayer will be said at Christ Church.

All are welcome to attend. Come as strangers and stay as friends.

Barry Taylor still has a number of places available for the Seaham Triathlon, to be held on Sunday, July 3.

On Tuesday, June 7, Mrs L Bland will preside at the 7pm service held in Seaham SNU Church, Vane Hall, Cornelia Terrace.
