Dalton-le-Dale History Society will hold the popular Duck Race on Saturday, May 7, at 4pm. Ducks are £1 each. There will also be a Kiddies Duckling Race with ducks at 50p, After the race there will be an Evening of Food and Fun in the parish hall with a quiz, entertainment and meal. Tickets are £8. Seaham Methodist Church will hold its ever popular coffee morning and bake sale on Saturday, May 14, from 10.30am. Entrance is £1, which includes a cup of coffee or tea. Proceeds are for church funds.

Fourteen young people, between 14 and 18 years of age, from Gerlingen, will be staying at Parkside Community Centre for five days from April 28. Day trips are planned for the visitors.
