YOUNGSTERS never “tyre” of dressing up for Easter.

Twins Clayton and Dalton Hickman joined classmates from Seaham Harbour Nursery in a parade of their Easter bonnets – created by parents – after taking to the stage to perform a host of spring songs for their families.

“The event went very well,” said headteacher Carole Scott.

“There were lots of colourful ones made and the parents have continued to do a wonderful job, with lots of chicks, eggs and bunnies on them. The children all looked fantastic.”

A total of 91 youngsters took part in the event, which also included a raffle which raised £400 for the school’s funds.

Mrs Scott added her thanks to the town’s businesses for prizes donated to the event.
