Hebburn & Sunderland Sea Cadets have played their way into the national finals.
The Hebburn & Sunderland Sea Cadets Marching Band will represent the Northern Area and will perform against nine other bands at the Tower of London tomorrow.
An expected 25,000 visitors are expected to watch the final where the musicians are aged between 12 and 18.
Band Master Davy Hanson says: “We are thrilled that we have won a place at the Sea Cadet National Band Competition.
“This is the icing on the cake as we have had a brilliant year.
“The unit band has just come back from Belfast, where they played for thousands of people visiting the Tall Ships Parade, and they played for the Mayor of South Tyneside’s Parade.”
