A SCHOOLGIRL has been left shaken after she was grabbed by a man on her walk home.
The 15-year-old was walking from a friend’s along a pathway near to the park off Pennine Drive and Howletch Primary, in Peterlee, when she was assaulted by the stranger.
Police hope someone in the area at the time may have seen the man or witnessed the incident, which led to the girl shouting out.
She was upset, but not injured, and raised the alarm when she got home a short distance away.
The man is described as aged between 20 and 25, was about 6ft tall, slim, and was wearing dark bottoms and a top, which had its hood pulled up.
It happened at about 8.30pm on Thursday.
