SAS hero-turned-writer Chris Ryan will sign copies of his latest novel during a visit to Durham City this month.
Osama is a tense thriller about the military operation which culminated in the death of the former al-Qaeda leader.
It tells the fictional story of SAS soldier Joe Mansfield, who was on the ground in Pakistan and saw the Seal Team 6 bring out bin Laden’s body.
But when Joe realises that someone wants him dead he has to find out what really happened the night the Americans entered the compound.
Chris will be talking about the book, answering questions and signing copies at the DLI Museum and Durham Art Gallery on Saturday, September 15, at 3.30pm.
His talk is due to start at 3.30pm. Tickets are £3.50, which includes a museum admission fee.
