Prom season is upon us again – and school pupils are marking the occasion in style.

Teenagers from across Sunderland are celebrating the end of their school years before moving onto further education or employment.

The prom always captures the imagination of pupils, and this year has been no different.

Dressed in their finest dresses and suits, teenagers have ensured they look their very best for the occasion, and they have also been arriving at their prom venues in style.

Motorbikes and flash cars have been just two of the modes of transport used.

The Echo is planning a 16-page supplement to celebrate proms season.

It will go to print in the Echo’s July 20 edition, so keep an eye out for many more pictures in the supplement.
