PRICES have been frozen for those hoping to attend this year’s Split Festival.

Martyn McFadden, who is helping to arrange the three-day show, said: “We’ve frozen prices this year because we feel in the current economic climate everybody is feeling the pinch.

“We have also introduced a teen and student ticket.

“At that age, you are probably going to consume more music than you will at any time, but you probably don’t have the resources to do so.”

The Futureheads will headline the Sunday of the event, which will from September 21 to 23 at Ashbrooke Sports Ground.

Organisers say they are in talks with a household name to headline on Saturday, to be announced soon.

Advance tickets are £25 a day or £40 for the weekend, from www.splitfestival.com.
