A PREGNANT Sunderland woman has been airlifted to hospital after a car crash.
The 19-year-old was a passenger in a vehicle which was involved in a collision with a motorbike in Allendale Town, Northumberland.
She was assessed by medics after suffering injuries to her abdomen, before being flown by the Great North Air Ambulance to the Cumberland Infirmary, in Carlisle, for further treatment.
The condition of her unborn child is not yet known.
The incident happened at about 5pm yesterday.
