Thousands paid tribute to Sunderland's rose Denise Robertson as she was laid to rest in the city on Wednesday.
The 83-year-old, who died after a short battle with pancreatic cancer, has been described as the true Angel of the North, Sunderland's rose and a favourite aunt to all who encountered her.
