Police are appealing for information after a teenage girl was sexually assaulted in a Sunderland street.
Officers investigating the report of a sexual offence are appealing for witnesses.
It happened between 10pm and 10.40pm on Friday, February 5, in an address in Roker Avenue.
A 17-year-old girl was touched inappropriately over her clothing by the offender.
Officers are carrying out inquiries and believe the offender spoke to the victim outside the nearby Tesco store shortly before the incident. It’s believed he was with a group of males.
Any local residents or passersby who remember seeing a group of males near Tesco or in Roker Avenue on February 5 are asked to get in contact with police.
