WASHINGTON AFC are looking to expand their girls’ football teams.

The squad currently have 70 girls training weekly at the Northumbria Centre and are looking for more footie fans to get involved to bump up the numbers.

The girls train every Monday and Wednesday at the centre.

The team is looking for girls in school years two, three, five and six to get in touch.

New members would take part in training at the centre from 5.30pm to 6.30pm.

The club is a community-led group and provides football opportunities for all age ranges.

Fun session are available for under fours, fives and sixes.

There are teams in age divisions up to under 18.

The club caters for girls and boys and all coaches with the club are CRB checked.
