SEAHAM’S North Terrace came to a standstill for a celebration of sound.

One of the town’s main streets was taken over by a kaleidoscope of colourful performers as part of the Big Brass Bash.

Crowds gathered on Seaham's North Terrace in the warm sunshine for some brassy fun. Those listening and watching the acts were of all ages and the great weather proved to be the icing on the cake. The event was part of the continuing Brass Festival.

The lively event was staged as part of this year’s Brass: Durham International Festival, which runs until tomorrow.

Big Brass Bash included entertainment from French theatrical band Zic Zazou, telling the story of an abandoned bandstand brought back to life, and break dancers Bad Taste Cru.
