CHILDREN’S favourite TV character Peppa Pig will stop off to say hello this week.

Youngsters will get the chance to meet the popular pig when she visits Prince Bishops shopping centre, in Durham City.

On Sunday, children can have their photo taken with her between 11.30am and 3.30pm.

Before that, they can meet up with Princess Holly and Ben Elf, from Ben and Holly’s Little Kingdom, at the shopping centre on Friday from 11.30am and 3.30pm.

“We are really pleased that Peppa Pig is coming back to see her fans in Durham this weekend,” said centre manager Richard Toynbee.

“It’s a hugely popular show, and it will be a great chance for kids in Durham to meet one of their favourite TV characters.

“It is also going to be a real treat to meet a real princess and an elf from Ben and Holly’s Little Kingdom.

“Let’s hope Holly gets her spells right and brings some magic to visitors in the centre.”

Parents are advised to get there early, as last time Peppa visited in 2009 she caused queues across the city.
