CHEERS greeted a dedicated store worker when a surprise party was thrown in her honour.

Heather Brass, 57, was greeted with balloons and banners when she turned up for her shift at the Sahota Convenience Store, in Easington Lane.

Staff and members of the community came together to say a big “thank-you” to Heather for all her hard work on her 25th anniversary of working at the shop.

Pamie Sahota has owned the store for the last 16 years and said Heather has been a huge asset to the business since she has worked there.

Pamie said: “Heather has always been there for me. She’s completely reliable.

“She’s brought up her own family and is still totally committed to the store.”
