DANNY WELBECK and Fraizer Campbell successfully got through Sunderland’s reserves draw with West Ham today at the Academy of Light.
Welbeck - who got 25 minutes of first-team action at Arsenal on Saturday - eased his way through the first half, while Campbell was sent on as a substitute just after the hour.
Sunderland will monitor the pair’s progress closely ahead of their next Barclays Premier League match at home to Liverpool on March 20.
West Ham led this afternoon’s reserves encounter through Callum Driver’s opener on 37 minutes but a Jack Egan header in the second half gave the hosts a point.
