When you settle down by the Christmas tree to open this year's offerings from Santa, hope you don't find a selfie stick in your stocking.
The gadget has been revealed as the most unpopular Christmas present for people in the North East, despite the rise of people posting selfies, felfies or even belfies (!) on Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat.
Research by the British Heart Foundation (BHF) has found the top 10 most unwanted gifts in the region - and if you receive any of them yourself, the charity is calling on you to make a much-needed donation to their cause.
Two thousand adults were questioned on their present preferences as part of the research - and more than a quarter of them said they wouldn't want to unwrap a selfie stick.
Made In Chelsea star Oliver Proudlock is also urging people to get behind the charity.
He said: "Last year I received some lovely gifts but three copies of The Hunger Games book was a bit much.
"Rather than letting unwanted gifts clutter up the house this year and feeling guilty for letting them go to waste, I’ll be donating to my local British Heart Foundation shop to raise funds for their life saving research."
