CHILDREN were both seen and heard at a special music event.

The little stars from Cleadon Village Kindergarten pulled on their best fancy-dress outfits as they took part in a day dedicated to making a lot of noise.

Staff at the nursery, which caters for 110 children up to four years old, helped build home-made instruments with the youngsters in a bid to introduce them to the joys of music.

Kim Clark, senior nursery nurse, said: “Once the instruments were built, we enjoyed dancing and singing and just generally having fun.”
