FAMILIES can say a special thank you to those who care for them at a church service this weekend.
To mark Mother’s Day on Sunday, Sunderland Minster has teamed up with the Mothers’ Union to put on a special service to thank all those involved in caring in the community.
As well as thanking mums for their tireless work, the church wants to take time to celebrate all those who care, including dads, step-parents, foster carers, grandparents and people who look after relatives.
The service will also highlight the global plight of supporting the most vulnerable and under-valued people in society.
Reverend Martin Anderson, of Sunderland Minster, said: “This Sunday, we want to celebrate this development work and ethical campaigns which really make a difference in people’s lives.”
The service takes place on Sunday at 10am.
