A BLACK Cats fan who went missing after the Tyne-Wear derby has been found safe and well after an emotional appeal by his girlfriend.
Tearful Amy Richardson had last spoken to boyfriend Jordan Barrington by phone as he left Sunderland’s Stadium of Light on Saturday.
The 27-year-old had been at the ground with friends to watch his team’s 1-0 defeat at the hands of Newcastle United.
But despite telling Amy he would be “home in half-an-hour”, he failed to turn up.
The 20-year-old made a series of frantic calls to his mobile phone, which went straight to voicemail, and police were then called in to help with the search.
A Facebook page, Help find Jordan Barrington, was even set up in a bid to track him down.
But, after more than 48 hours missing, the family today said Jordan had finally been found safe and well.
