BEAMING Isaac Rawding is top of the tots after winning the Echo’s Cute Kids competition.

The six-month-old, nicknamed “Smiler” because of his adorable grin, came first in our annual search for the bonniest babies.

Proud mum Rebecca Rawding said: “We’re over the moon. We read about the competition in the paper and we thought we’d put Isaac forward for it.

“We’re really proud of him.”

Accountancy admin worker Rebecca, from St Gabriel’s, in Sunderland, said her first born’s “beautiful smile” won over readers, who backed their favourite entrant in a public vote.

“We were really pleased with how the photographs of him turned out,” she said.

“He looked really cute.

“His nickname is ‘Smiler’ because he’s always smiling and making people laugh.

“He can light up the whole room.”

Issac won a cheque for £100 and £50 credit to spend on our photosales site to order copies of his winning photo.

“We’re going away on a week’s holiday to Tenerife soon, so we’ll hopefully use the prize as spending money on the trip,” said 25-year-old Rebecca.

“We want to thank everyone who voted for Isaac.

“He was given a lot of support.”

Two runners-up have also each won £50 credit to spend on our photosales site.
