Man in court to face charge over Murton bag snatch
A man has appeared in court charged with robbery after a woman allegedly had her bag snatched on a village's main shopping street.
Lee Hocking, 28, of Hill Crescent, Murton, has appeared before Peterlee Magistrates' Court today to face the claim,
It follows a bag snatch which is said to have happened on Wood's Terrace in Murton at around noon on Friday.
Hocking has also been charged with an unrelated burglary.
He has been remanded in custody and will next appear before a crown court on Friday, June 24.
