A LORRY driver had to be cut free after his truck overturned.
The HGV was in Parson’s Industrial Estate, Washington, when the incident happened at 10.53am yesterday.
Fourteen firefighters from Washington and Hebburn stations attended.
The driver had to be cut free from the cab by removing the front windscreen.
Paramedics checked him over and he was taken to Sunderland Royal Hospital, where he received treatment to a gash to his head.
