A man has been arrested after fire crews tackled a huge blaze at an industrial unit.
Six engines were called to the fire at a large unit at Langley Park in County Durham at 11am where there was said to be hundreds of tyres alight.
The flames sent large plumes of black smoke into the sky, but County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue Service advised the public not to be alarmed.

He is currently in custody assisting police with their inquiries.
Emergency Services remain at the scene of the fire in Riverside Industrial Estate which is still alight. The public are reminded to stay away from the area and to also take care driving in the vicinity of the fire as there is still a significant amount of black smoke decreasing visibility.
A fire service spokesman said: “There are six fire engines on scene from stations including Consett, Durham, and Newton Aycliffe, who are using a specialist aerial ladder platform and jets to tackle the blaze, which involves several hundreds tyres, 90% of which are well alight.
“One man has been injured in the blaze, suffering from smoke inhalation and has been treated at the scene by paramedics.
“There is a lot of black smoke in the atmosphere at the moment, but we want the public to know that it is nothing to be concerned about.”
