LOLA Saunders said she was “chuffed” to have made the live shows of the X Factor as she bowed out of the competition.
The 20-year-old, from East Boldon, lost out on Sunday night after competing in the sing-off with Stereo Kicks.
Afterwards, she said: “I feel gutted but it was going to happen at some point to everyone and this week was my week.
“I have had such an amazing time and ever since I was younger watching the show that’s what I’ve wanted to do.
“I’ve wanted to be on the X Factor live shows and I got there.
“I’m absolutely chuffed to bits, I really am. It’s like a different world, it’s crazy.
“I am just happy that I went out there and did my best.
“To have shared this experience with my family has been overwhelming.
“I kept feeling really guilty as my mam and dad came down every week to London with my boyfriend and I kept thinking they would be skint for Christmas!”
