X Factor Charlie takes a break

Singing starlet Charlie Mole is already stressed out with her pop star lifestyle and is taking some much-needed rest and relaxation.

The Hill View mum has been desperately missing home since she made the move down to London with her band Hope for the X-Factor live finals, and she can't wait to get back to her Northern roots.

Mum Lesley, 48, from Tunstall, said: "She's really tired because they have just been doing so much. She's really feeling it at the moment.

"One of the biggest problems she has is that all the other girls in the band are from London so they get out to see their family, but she doesn't.

"We are the ones who are furthest away so it's been pretty stressful for her."

Charlie, 23, has found it incredibly hard being away from her five-year-old son Jack and boyfriend Lee Daglish.

But X-Factor chiefs have cut her some slack this week by giving her a much-needed day off, and Lee, 28, went straight to the capital to be with her.

Charlie has already spent countless hours rehearsing for this week's movie themed show, which will include an appearance from Celine Dione.

Lee, who is from Murton, will be joining Lesley and Charlie's dad Chris this Saturday to watch Hope take to the stage for the second time.

And everyone's hoping that they can match last week's stunning performance of Rihanna's Umbrella, which wowed judges Simon Cowell, Sharon Osbourne, Louis Walsh and Dannii Minogue.

Lee said: "I think it will be great this week. The movie theme suits the band down to the ground and they're getting the chance to be creative.

"They were spot on last week and they're hoping they can repeat that this time, and get some amazing comments from the judges again."

Tune into ITV at 5.45pm this Saturday and vote for our girl. Results will be at 8.30pm.
