Weather will not cloud dancers' routine in park
COME rain, come snow, these dancers will be doing their thing in Mowbray Park on Saturday.
Whatever the Weather is the theme of their performance – and they mean to be there dancing come rain or shine.
With climate change being a burning issue, the En Masse Dance Company has chosen the weather for its two performances.
With choreography by Fiona Hallam, the four dancers will make their way through the park with members of the public invited to follow them.
Starting at the bandstand, the first performance will be at 10.30am and will last about 15 minutes. The second will be at 1pm and last an hour.
ALSO known as pertussis, whooping cough is a highly infectious disease which can be fatal for babies, especially those less than six months old.
Whooping cough is caused by an infection of the lining of the breathing airways, from a bacteria spread by droplets of moisture expelled through sneezing or coughing.
Symptoms, which include coughing fits, breathing problems, a high temperature and runny nose, develop between five and 21 days after infection.
Antibiotics are usually given to kill the bacteria. The NHS has warned that if parents do not get their babies immunized, it could lead to an epidemic.
