Sexy lingerie prize for super slimmers

These two Sunderland women are celebrating after shedding the weight of a whole person between them.

Once it was chocolate eggs and chips on the menu for these two Sunderland women.

Now it's all healthy eating and fitted clothes for the dynamic duo who have lost a staggering 12st between them.

Michelle Walton and Gillian Whitelock achieved their astonishing feat after ditching their midnight feasts and joining their local Slimming World weight loss classes.

And after a special prize draw, the pair were allowed to pick out some lingerie and have a free bra fitting, courtesy of department store Debenhams, in the Bridges shopping centre.

Michelle, 45, of Pennywell, decided to lose weight after husband Brian died of liver cancer six years ago.

She has now been attending Slimming World classes for three years, and has managed to shift 4st.

Mum-of-three Michelle said: "I'm the only parent that my children have got and if something happened to me it would be terrible for them.

"You have got to change stuff for life if you want to lose weight.

"I've proved I can keep it off because it's not faddy diets I've been on.

"It wasn't as difficult as I thought it would be and you get used to it after a while," added the administrator."

Gillian had an even bigger road ahead of her when she first started to shift the pounds.

The 38-year-old customer advisor for EDF Energy has gone down eight dress sizes after dropping 8st.

Gillian, of High Barnes, said: "It's a great feeling to be able to keep it off and remain focused.

"It's not costly either because I'm not going to the pizza or fish and chip shop a few times a week like I was."

The pair say they are now looking forward to maintaining their healthy lifestyle.

Slimming World classes are held at St Gabriel's Church, on Chester Road, on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
