Man admits sex act
A man has admitted performing a sex act on himself during two bus journeys.
Gary Culmer touched himself in full view of passengers while on buses in Sunderland in September last year and February this year.
At Newcastle Crown Court yesterday the 25-year-old pleaded guilty to two charges of outraging public decency.
Tony Hawks, defending, said Culmer entered his guilty pleas on the basis he did not expose his private parts during the incidents.
Judge Beatrice Bolton adjourned sentence for the preparation of reports and Culmer, of Hill Street, Sunderland, was granted bail.
The judge said: "I am going to adjourn your case for a pre-sentence report and a psychiatric report so the court has a better understanding of what happened on these two occasions. All sentencing options are available."
