Brent Martin: We say...

A cabinet office review has labelled the British justice system "distant, unaccountable and unanswerable".

After the outrageous decision to reduce the sentence of Brent Martin's evil killers, we can think of other words.

Brent Martin latest

- MAIN STORY: Furious mum: I felt like Brent did

- Brutal attack not sadistic - judge

- 'Another bitter pill to swallow

- Punishment must be more visible

- Tributes to Brent

Out of touch, unfair, and ridiculous are a few we'd start with.

William Hughes, Stephen Bonallie and Marcus Miller beat vulnerable Brent then chased him for a mile and a half across the Town End Farm estate. When they caught up with him, the killers kicked, punched and stamped on him.

Despite his pleas to the three he thought were his friends, the murderers showed no mercy.

Announcing the awful decision, Mr Justice Goldring said the trio's tariff was too high as the murder was not "sadistic".

What dictionary did Mr Justice Goldring and his fellow Appeal Court judges use?

Yesterday was a terrible day for the Martin family. It was also a terrible day for British justice.

The Cabinet Office review said the public feels "cut-off" from our justice system.

Is it any wonder when damaging, unbelievable decisions like this are made?
